DLYBA Equipment Donation Drop Off & Pick Up Events

Good Morning Lancer Baseball Family,

Youth sports equipment has become expensive over the last few years.  In an effort to help relieve the cost of baseball and softball equipment this spring, DLYBA will hold a baseball and softball equipment donation day on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  This is a great opportunity to clean out basements/garage and gather all types of equipment that your child has outgrown or no longer uses.

Please drop off your gently used equipment at the newly refurbished black equipment shed on Field B2 at Bairdford Park on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. This event will happen as part of our first Field Cleanup Day scheduled that day from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Some ideas on what to donate:

  • Balls for baseball or softball (any size)
  • Heart guards
  • Spikes (boys and girls)
  • Catchers equipment (full sets, helmets, shin guards, check protectors, ect)
  • Gloves
  • Softball and Baseball Bats (USSSA, USA, bbcor, wood, fungo, camwood, rope, ect.)_
  • Baseball or softball pants
  • Training equipment (heavy balls, tees, nets, etc.._)
  • Fielding masks
  • Helmets
  • Bat bags
  • Turf shoes
  • Buckets of old balls
  • Old Balls for practice
  • New balls that aren’t the right size
  • Wiffle balls (all sized)
  • Dimple balls (all sized)
  • Pitching machines
  • Ect.

As a follow up to that, don't spend unnecessary money:

If you are in need of baseball or softball equipment for the upcoming season, you will have the opportunity to pick up gently used items on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the same location as above from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Our goal is to save our families money and give them the opportunity to not stress about equipment costs when we have the opportunity to provide it either from donations, items purchased by the league, or acquired through grants.

If you have any DLYBA gear from any prior season that was misplaced and found or you were not able to return, please do so at this time also.

Thank you,
